TRIGGER WARNING: SUICIDE
A 21-year old male student residing in Sitio San Antonio, Barangay Fidel Surtida, Santo Domingo, Albay, has died of suicide. In an exclusive interview by Tagkaró with his mother, Niña Balderama, she had to tell her son to temporarily stop schooling this year due to poverty and the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. She was still in shock as to what happened and she can only refer to the stress her son felt of not being able to enroll this academic year. The victim’s parents only earn a meager income as a “para-graba”. Currently, they are asking for financial help for the burial of their son.
